Two creeks, May 21. We paddled Nesquehoning Creek, a tributary that enters the Lehigh about two miles above Jim Thorpe, the first time our club has done it in years. This sparkling gem provides miles of beautiful, hemlock and rhododendron lined class 2-3 whitewater. Near the start of the trip, two manmade strainers had to be portaged. Someone had recently felled trees into the creek. Damian Cuce took these photos.
...We also paddled Lizard Creek, a nearbyLehigh tributaty, but have no pictures.
